Overview

CWNS provides a cloud managedWiFi6 network infrastructure. The access points installed locally at the user's site are managed from the cloud by the provider. The prerequisite is Internet access for communication between the access points and the cloud. Different types of access points are available for different needs, which differ in terms of performance and the environment used (indoor/outdoor).  Access points and their operation are provided at fixed periodic costs.

CWNS Benefits:

No investment in hardware and licenses
No user expertise required for configuration and operation
Wireless network grows or shrinks as needed

Operation Services:

Monitoring

Network concept Requirements

For the configuration of the access points, a network concept created by the customer is required.

This network concept must contain the following parameters:

  • SSID per WLAN
  • WPA2/WPA3 passwords
  • guest portal password if required
  • IP addressing of access point
  • IP addressing WLAN clients
  • DHCP server
  • VLAN mapping IP segment access points if required
  • VLAN mapping IP segment WLAN clients if required
  • guest portal logo if required

If help from Infra-Com Swiss AG is required for the development of the network concept, these services can be provided on request. The costs are invoiced at an hourly rate of CHF 180.00 per hour.

Site Survey Requirements

An important quality factor is the WLAN signal strength in the spatial usage areas of the WLAN. The customer must ensure sufficient signal coverage with the necessary number of access points and their optimal placement. Upon request, the customer can consult Infra-Com for site survey simulations based on building plans or on-site measurements.  The prices for a site survey are offered to the customer individually on request.
